Center Stage participates in the Queer And Now 2021 festival hosted by the Tate Gallery

16 February 2021

We are happy to announce that Center Stage, whose partner has been Fragment Gallery since Summer 2020, participates in the Queer And Now 2021 festival hosted by the Tate Gallery and curated by E-J Scott (Museum of Transology). The main goal of the festival is to celebrate the powerful role of LGBTQIA+ arts and culture in today’s society and to unite queer artists and activists from all over the world.

As part of the LGBTIQA+ History Month, the Queerate Tate initiative was announced. Each participant can choose a work from the Tate collection that reflects his / her experiences as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and rewrite traditional interpretations.

You can join Queerate Tate and share your opinion about the work this whole  month on Instagram using the following hashtags: #QueerAndNow #LGBTHistoryMonth and #Queerate. All applications will be reviewed at the end of the month. Selected works will be presented at an online exhibition, focusing on exploring the spectrum of cultural readings of gender and sexuality.
